MechoShade Systems, commonly known in the industry as Mecho, is a leading manufacturer of commercial rated shading solutions. Founded in 1969, the company specializes in creating quality products that enhance both aesthetics and functionality in commercial and residential spaces. They are particularly known for their innovative and customizable motorized roller shade systems which include complete building & solar tracking control systems. Wide Range of Fabrics: Mecho offers a wide range of commercial rated fabrics including sheer, light-filtering, printed and blackout materials, allowing for customizable light control, heat & glare reduction and privacy on demand.
Customization Options: Mecho shades can be tailored to fit the smallest & largest of window sizes & include thousands of fabric choices combined with an excellent range of commercial accessories & finishes. Specialty shades are available including “bottom up” solutions, skylight systems and uniquely shaped windows.
Control Options: Mecho’s line of heavy commercial rated chain drive systems are “Top of Class”. Essentially there is no window too large and no control system too sophisticated making it the ideal solution for most commercial & industrial applications.
- Standard Chain: The patented Urban, M5 & M7 clutch drive systems are heavy duty mechanisms designed for reliable control of the largest & heaviest of shades. “Urban” is the smallest system on the market at 2.75” x 2.75” but still packs a punch. “M5” (the old standby for commercial spaces) is in its 5th generation and still going strong where the new “M7” can operate shades up to 300 square feet.
- Motorized: Mecho offer a comprehensive collection of motors from commercial manufacturers including Gaposa, Somfy as well as Mechoshade’s own series of intelligent “IQ” motors & shading relays. From simple RF (radio) wireless controlled shades to more sophisticated projects that require hardwired group controls, there is ALWAYS a solution!
Power: Mechoshade offers such a wide range of motors that power is never a problem. Rechargeable battery wands & motors can even be charged by solar in most instances. Their low voltage motors have increased in capacity to the point that they rival most line voltage motorized options from their competitors. That means simpler wiring requirements and lower electrician costs. Of course, Mecho offers a complete line of hardwired (line voltage) motors, designed to quietly treat the largest & heaviest of shades at the push of a button.

Construction details are reviewed in conjunction with the shading system hardware and wiring diagrams generated early in the construction process to ensure 100% compatibility at time of install.
