GiCor is your Alberta source for Awnings!

Awnings enhance both the appearance and functionality of any home or commercial building. They will add value and elegance as well as to effectively filter the sun’s light, creating a cool & relaxing environment. That means more time to spend entertaining on a sunny afternoon or cool summer evening. Testing has proven to reduce solar heat gain by up to 77% and lower indoor temperatures by 10 – 15 degrees.
They are typically installed on the exterior of a building, but can be used in interior spaces to create the welcoming look of a French style café. Available control options include chain driven, manual cranks or motorized systems for large spans or hard to reach areas. Control options include hand held remotes, wireless wall switches with the potential to integrate with home automation or third party control systems.
ALL OUR AWNINGS ARE NOW COMPATIBLE WITH AMAZON ALEXA! Optional accessories include sun / heat sensors to automatically lower awnings at a specified threshold in order to maintain a consistent temperature inside your property. Wind sensors can also be added to retract the awnings on a moments notice in high wind situations. New smart phone apps and wifi bridges are also available to control shades based on scheduled events throughout the day.
