Darren wears many hats at GiCor. He oversees and rolls up his sleeves in the Accounting, Finance, Human Resources and Corporate Operations functions.
Darren loves to use his varied experience to complement the team at GiCor. Drawing from his functional and leadership experience in Business Development, Market Research, Recruitment and Executive Search, Darren has been focused on enabling architectural, engineering, construction and energy firms to grow and thrive with the best people. Darren also taught Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Human Resources at the Bisset School of Business (Mount Royal University). His education at the University of Calgary was focused in Marketing, Human Resources and Finance where achieved his B.Comm. and MBA degrees.
Darren’s work has taken him to across Canada and into the US with some extended times in Fort McMurray and Edmonton. He is a native Calgarian, with Saskatchewan roots, where his Grandfather homesteaded after immigrating from Argentina in 1913. Darren loves to be active and is involved in teaching, coaching, refereeing and enjoying activities like hockey, soccer, skiing, sailing, public speaking, latin dance and is starting to dabble in yoga.
