Specialty profile horizontal blinds are relatively new to the marketplace. The slat profiles and materials used to produce them vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but have mainly one thing in common, “SHAPE”. Innovative profiles include interlocking (siding like), “S” shaped and tapered shutter profiles. Most of the latest products to be introduced are created from composite materials or 100% PVC. In the past, available colors have been mainly neutral with whites and off whites. Now we are now seeing wood stains and soft contemporary finishes added to the color palette. Decorative tapes are offered with some profiles, but not all. Keep an eye out in the very near future for more of these shaped profiles to grace the windows in your neighborhood.
