For commercial applications, sliding fabric panel systems have been used for decades. Suited to any setting that you would find drapery used, the number of fabric options for this style of treatment far exceed ones imagination. Because the fabric panels hang flat and there are no pleats, almost all types of fabrics are suitable including woven woods and screen fabrics and nearly all drapery and upholstery goods. Fabric panels are understated and can be used to add small amounts of color in any space, then at the flick of a switch, can provide room darkening to any boardroom. Easy to maintain and remove for cleaning. Ideal as a banner, temporary divider in meeting rooms, for trade shows, or in showrooms.
It is our opinion that “Silent Gliss” manufacturers the most versatile of all fabric panel systems called “Panel Track”. Their patented track profiles are designed to facilitate a variety of configurations that move a series of fabric panels, sewn flat, along a horizontal track system. Also, with drapery treatments, fabric prints are often chosen, but once gathered, the pattern and colors are all but lost within the pleats. Using ‘Panel Track’, large prints can be fully displayed showing the print like a piece of artwork as it was intended. Simply divide the intended area to be covered into equal spaces ranging from 18” to 50” in width. In most instances, this is determined by the dimension of the wall space on either side of the window. The panels are then fabricated, sewn flat, and attached directly to the track carriers. For privacy, simply slide the panels closed, each one grabbing the next in line as it travels the length of the track. To open, slide the panels towards either side of the window, stacking one behind the other.
Baton-draw systems are available for medium sized widths, cord drawn for wider applications, and even motorized track systems for heavier treatments where cord systems are not suitable. Optional accessories such as remote controls, sun sensors, and hardware to interface with boardroom and home theater controls are also available.
- Caution: Avoid fabrics with patterns that can be altered due to required overlap between fabric panels.
- Panel widths can be varied, but 24” to 36” are generally recommended
- Continuous track widths up to 20 meters
- Note: The appearance of some patterns may be altered due to the overlap required between fabric panels
