Skylight windows: with tensioned systems available that are designed to run vertically, angled or horizontally, Operation can be manual using a removable crank or motorized for the ultimate control. Integration with automation controls is a breeze with Somfy motors & controls.
Atriums: Guide wire & side channels can be added to standard motorized roller shades to create shading systems for atrium and angled curtain walls. Most gravity systems can function without additional take up rollers or springs with a minimum angulation of 30 degrees. Their manual FLEX-XD system can handle shades in excess of 11′ wide x 15′ tall using a manual chain drive. * Chains must be shielded to meet current child safe legislation.
Draper motorized roller shades can be made for much larger openings and using a technology called “banded shades” these can be made to treat the largest of curtains walls using a single shade motor.
