Banded (Zebra) Shades

Designer banded shades (aka Zebra shades) are a hybrid of roller shades and horizontal blinds that combines alternating sheer and opaque fabric stripes. Designed as a double layer product, you can control how much light enters the room by adjusting the position of the stripes as you lower or raise the shade. When the sheer stripes are aligned, they allow light to filter in gently while providing a degree of privacy. When the opaque stripes are aligned, they block out light & provide privacy on demand. Zebra shades are very light weight making them an ideal solution for larger windows and where privacy is desired. Also available in room darkening fabrics, they are not the best solution for bedrooms as you will always have light between each of the two layers. Motorized options & child safe features are also incorporated in this collection.

Over the past 40 years, honeycomb shades (cellular shades) have become one of the most versatile and stylish window coverings. This product category is one of the most energy efficient window covering options & one of the best solutions for bedrooms and areas where room darkening is desired. Cell shades also come in many patterns, styles & colors. Most of these fabrics have a neutral backing so that they have a uniform appearance when viewed from the outside. This makes them ideal for multi-family dwellings where bylaws dictate a white or off-white appearance to the street. Motorization is also an option with power sources including solar, rechargeable battery and hardwired.
