GiCor lodging projects ltd. was established in 2002. President Giles Dupas has a philosophy of exceeding client expectations and transforming vision into reality. GiCor provides professional, qualified, and personalized home interiors project experiences. Our staff are friendly, outgoing and honest, and we pride ourselves in helping clients create the most amazing spaces possible!
Our fully automated showroom on Edmonton Trail in Calgary displays our impressive collection of window coverings, area rugs, furniture, wall coverings, fabric lines, and more!
In 2009, GiCor purchased JP custom drapery ltd. from Don and Kathleen Coombes. Don and Kathleen have stayed on, bringing their unparalleled window covering expertise to our team.
In 2012 GiCor launched a new branch of business, GiCor home technologies inc. Focusing on home theatre, automation, and green solutions for residential and commercial spaces, this exciting new venture is already taking off!

Giles Dupas is native to Calgary and has been involved in the interior design industry for over 30 years. Since the early 80’s, he has consulted, tendered, managed, and installed window coverings for both commercial and residential projects. In early 2003, Giles and his family decided that it was time to take advantage of his past experiences and channel his energy toward a new direction.
In his personal life, Giles is happily married with 2 children. His interests are his family, water and snow skiing, roller-blading, cycling, dirt biking, camping, and home renovations.

A true Albertan through and through, Athabasca, Red Deer, Edmonton and Calgary have all been home to Patti at one time. While raising her two children, Patti acquired a diploma in interior design through ICS. Patti met Giles in the late 80’s at her design studio in Red Deer. As a manufacturer’s rep, Giles regarded Patti as one of his “favourite“ accounts. With the passing years, their mutual respect and friendship has flourished. Patti is now in her element working with the team at GiCor. With over 27 years of experience she brings extensive knowledge of interior decorating products from drapery and furniture to floor coverings and cabinetry. As a freelance designer, she excels at working with builders, renovators and clients on space planning, architectural detailing and specifying finishes.

Rick is no stranger to the A/V industry having serviced corporate and hospitality accounts on both a regional and national level for over 25 years. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in all areas of technology planning, procurement, installations & servicing of A/V equipment and related products. Some of his past clients include Microsoft, Hyatt Hotels , NHL, CFL , Lions Club charity and Rotary Club events.
Rick also spent many years moonlighting as a window covering installer alongside Giles. This combined with his technology background will make his role as a Project Manager at GiCor a true benefit to all clients.
When Rick is not working, he likes to spend time playing sports with his two sons. Some of his favorite activities include Lacrosse, Mountain Biking, Squash, Hockey, Tennis and Skiing.[/three_fourths]

With more than two decades in administrative, operational and management experience, Barb Marjoram brings a broad range of skills to her role as Office Manager. Her strong customer service focus and business knowledge have served her well in a variety of industries. Her keen interest in process improvement and policy development supports us to continually work at our best. Barb is often referred to as “Gile’s right arm” and is involved in the areas of accounting, HR and project administration as a strong, collaborative team member.
A rare “born and raised” Calgarian, Barb and her husband Steve are the proud parents of two adult daughters. Her somewhat part-time role at GiCor allows Barb to indulge in plenty of family and recreational activities, including her favorites, camping and golf.

Heidi brings to the team a strong administrative background in both the interior design and construction industries with an emphasis on coordinating installations. She considers her specialty to be ‘Organizing the Troops’ to get the business Done!
When shes not working on GiCor business, you can find her running by the river with her dog “Hope”. Cooking, BBQing, Hiking, Camping, Mountain bike rides with her husband and friends, are some of her favorite things to do.

Gary has been in the home fashion industry since 1974 when moving from visual merchandising to window fashion sales at Eaton’s design studio located in downtown Calgary. His experiences since that time in both the wholesale; representing Levolor, Maxwell and Duralee fabrics as well as in retail; as owner of Hansen’s Interiors, have served to increase his skills, making him a veteran of the flooring and window covering industries. After a stint at NU-way floor fashions, in 2001 Gary became an associate at Cordell’s window fashions before finally coming on board with the GiCor team.
When Gary isn’t dedicating his time to clients, he enjoys cycling, hiking and curling with his wife Connie. He also enjoys long walks, mainly on the golf course and a “pop” on the deck after a game. If you don’t find him there he will be slugging it out on the ball field in Calgary’s 55 plus league.

Anita has 14 years combined experience in the design, window covering, estimating and project management fields.
She joins the team as a Jane of all trades and has a passion for working on both residential & commercial projects.

Bethany Van Hecke brings diverse experience in design, project management and business development to the GiCor team. Based in Canmore Alberta, Bethany manages Contract Sales for Commercial and Residential projects in the Bow Valley and surrounding communities.
Bethany spends her personal time between the Rocky Mountains and Vancouver Island with her husband, daughter and their beloved family canine, Penny.
